Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4 1961

His father, Barack Obama, Sr, came from Nyangoma-Kogelo, Kenya

His mother, Ann Dunham, hailed from Wichita, Kansas

His mother remarried, and the family moved to Indonesia in 1967

Barack Obama attended schools in Jakarta until he was ten years old
